Formed in early 2009, Six Second Silence is a four piece rock band from London. The band was founded by lead guitarist/vocalist Jake Leigh.
Jake, from North London, had previously played with a number of local bands. Never completely happy with the direction of prior efforts, he decided to start his own project. He knew that the first step would be to find a drummer.
Jason Sayers knew Jake from a previous project they had worked on together. They got together and worked on a few ideas and eventually recorded a four track demo.
After advertising for a bass player, they were approached by Neil Salmon from Essex. The three of them instantly clicked and Neil introduced the band to guitarist, Nick Goldfinch from his previous band. Six Second Silence was born.
The band recorded 11 tracks in early 2010, copies of which were given to eager fans at shows as well as being played on radio stations in LA. The sound has been compared to the likes of Nickelback, Alter Bridge, Papa Roach and early Lost Prophets – some of the bands biggest influences.
Already working on new tracks, Six Second Silence hope to break into the rock world and achieve the success they are aiming for. |
