March Update Part Deux
Greetings!!
Things have been very busy in the 6SS camp of late so here is another little update of what we’re up to.
Last week saw us hit the road with our good friends Sizen courtesy of LDP Promotions. The whole experience was very enjoyable for us and we’d like to give massive thanks to Lucy and the Sizen lads for making it such a wicked few days. Our first stop was Totally Wired at Margate. This was the first time we had played our new material live and it seemed to go down very well, and thanks to everyone who was there to witness it
We then hit the road to play Asylum in Birmingham and The Snooty Fox in Wakefield which were both very good gigs, all be it a bit different to what we’re used to. All of this culminated in a big return to our spiritual home….Camden! Where do we start? The entire night was excellent, the crowd were great, and we’d like to again thank LDP, Sizen and Dangerous Breed for making it such a good night.
Although we are still recovering from a very excessive weekend, we are very much looking forward to hitting the road again soon!
We now have a few more gigs lined up for you all. Tomorrow we hit the Bull & Vic in Dartford. We haven’t yet played this venue and are looking forward to getting our music out into different areas.
On Saturday 26th March, we return to 93 Feet East in London’s trendy Brick Lane. The last time we played this venue was with Kerrang! Radio and we are hoping that this will be just as good of a night as that was!
On April Fool’s day, we will be heading to Nick’s neck of the woods….Romford. We will be playing another new venue, this time at Edge as part of the legendary friday alternative club night Schpunk. We are especially excited about this gig as we have not played in Romford for quite some time and we have missed the great crowd and atmosphere we get when playing locally. So this should be a pretty awesome night!
We will then be hitting Canterbury on Wednesday 6th April, playing at The Attic, which is part of University of Kent Canterbury’s Student Union. This is another new area for us to play and we relish the opportunity to entertain new people. This should be a good’n
And finally, we head back to Essex to play The Fat Surfer in Grays. We have played many memorable shows at this great venue, and we hope that this will be just as memorable (I’m sure it will!!
)
All in all, very busy and exciting times for the band and we hope this continues throughout the year!
Thanks for all of your support and keep checking back for regular news and gig updates.

March Update
Hello All and welcome to the new Six Second Silence official website!
We apologise that it has been a while since our last update, but we have been so busy working on our new material that we haven’t had a spare moment!!
First off, we would like to thank you all again for your endless support throughout 2010, and making it such a great year for us! We owe ya!
As you know, we have been keeping ourselves very busy over the winter with some new material. We have to say, it is sounding rather good at the moment, and we are very much looking forward to debuting it live for you all!
March will see us hit the road courtesy of LDP Promotions with our good friends Sizen, hitting Kent, Canterbury, Leeds, Birmingham, Essex, and of course…our home…London!! We will be finishing the tour with another big show in Camden at The Purple Turtle on Saturday 19th March with Sizen and Dangerous Breed.
For those that were at our Underworld show last April, this promises to be better, louder and boozier so we recommend you be there!! (Please contact us for tickets)
We are hoping to get lots of gigs in over the summer, and maybe a couple of festivals so keep an eye on our tour page for gig updates.
2011 is shaping up to be another great year, with a new EP, possibly another video for you to enjoy and much more exciting stuff.
Keep checking back for more news and updates.

End Of Year Update
Hey guys,
This is our final update for 2010. It’s been a great year for us and we want to thank every single one of you that came to a show, bought CDs/T Shirts or supported us in any way. Without you, all of this would be meaningless, the rehearsals, the blood, the sweat, the tears, the evil monkey in Jakes van… huh? Ah, that was just Jason. That makes more sense.
2010 has seen us record an 11 track album (Kill The Lights) with our good friend, producer Paul Miles, which has received excellent reviews worldwide. We’ve made some good friends with some amazing bands. We’ve played shows for Kerrang radio, been featured on Planet Rock radio and had some…. unusual interviews!
Highlights of the year for the band would have to be playing a packed-out show at The Underworld to the best audience ever, making our first pro music video with director Chris Martin at RTV media and of course the long motorway journeys in vans with no heating and icicles forming in our pants!
So. What’s next for Six Second Silence? Well, we’ll be returning in 2011 with brand new tracks, a brand new set, more gigs, more videos and a fixed heater! Oh yes. We’ve already started work on our new songs with around 10 already being demoed as we speak… or type. The website will be coming down for a short while, while our new and exciting page is just having some finishing touches, but please, keep in touch via Facebook and we’ll let you know what’s going on.
Thank you again for your support and we hope you have a great Xmas and New Year, eat lots, drink more and get ready for a brand new Six Second Silence!
XxX
September Update
Well hello there!
Just thought we’d touch base with another little update of what is going down in the 6SS camp!
We have been very busy lately with lots of exciting stuff!
Firstly, we recorded our debut music video for Breathe a while back with RTV Media. We would like to give thanks to Chris Martin and all the crew that helped make it such a pleasant experience for us. Cheers!!
If you haven’t seen it, head on over to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ba6bbASVjvQ
I’m sure you’ll agree when we say it is pretty darn good! Should have it up on the site soon!
On 3rd September, we had our first taste of playing a festival by tearing up the main stage at Brownstock Festival. It was a very enjoyable experience (maybe a tad too many alcoholic beverages but hey…it’s all part of the experience!!) and ejoyed our time on stage. We would like to thank the festival organisers and St. Helier Music Crowns for giving us the opportunity.
Just a week later saw three quarters of 6SS play their first ever acoustic gig at The Miller courtesy of Youwantrock (Neil was busy surfing and drinking cider in Cornwall – Alright for some eh?!?!). Although a very different experience to our normal gigs, we found it to be very enjoyable and ultimately a success. We plan to do a few more of these in the near future as a treat for you all
October is our month of great gigs! Firstly we will be playing Kerrang! Radio Live @ 93 Feet East on Saturday 9th October! This is our first gig for Kerrang! and hopefully (providing we make a lasting impression!) not our last!
We will also be descending onto King’s College London Student Union on Thursday 28th October along with Blaze Bayley, EsOterica and Panic Cell! With a line up such as this, you know that it is a “not-to-be-missed” event. Head on over to www.youwantrock.com now to pick up your tickets!!
Keep checking back for more updates!
Much love!

July Update
Hey Everybody!!
Just another little update to let you know what the band have been up to.
Wednesday 14th July saw us return to The New Cross Inn supporting The Safety Fire. What can I say?! The night was an absolute blast and we would like to thank Dan (YouWantRock) for putting it on, and of course all of the people that came down and made the night a success. We owe it to ya!!
On Saturday 17th, we played another headline show at one of our old favourite venues, The Bitter End. Another successful night I might add (as always ). It’s always nice coming back to play gigs in front of some old faces and you all made it such a good night. Cheers!!
Sunday saw our highest profile radio play by having our song “Broken” played on air at Planet Rock Radio. It was an honour to have our music put on the same playlist as so many influential bands (Metallica, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater and Black Label Society to name a few!!!). This led to us being named “New Rock Band of The Week” by Planet Rock, which we are absolutely chuffed at!!
So all in all, a pretty amazing week. Here’s to many more like it!!
We are now focusing on getting some new material to you, it’s sounding pretty damn good at the moment and I’m sure you will agree when we debut it live!!
We are also scheduled to record a music video next month, so we have got lots of stuff lined up for you.
That said, we’d like to thank you all again for coming to our gigs and giving us the support and drive we need to succeed. We can’t do it without you lot!!
Keep checking back for more updates on the band.
